How much does a gas heater cost as compare to an oil tank heater?

My girlfriend %26amp; I are moving into a new apartment. This new apartment has gas heat as opposed to oil...in general %26amp; on average how would you say they compare? Which is more expensive and by about how much? Thanks.How much does a gas heater cost as compare to an oil tank heater?

If you took a look at the price of fuels now, and in the past, you would find that oil is cheaper. Oil is also quicker to produce heat, as it contains more btu's per volume than gas. If it is for the heating system you may not see much of a difference, but as far as hot water production, nothing compares to oil. (With the exception maybe of the new on-the-wall tankless heaters)
