I can't reach the fill plug so I'm going to have to pour the exact right amount in through the shifter opening. How much is supposed to go in there?What is the oil capacity of a muncie SM465 Transmission?
Yep, they weren't thinking too hard about getting gear lube into that unit when they designed it. Try taking the plug out and filling it through the shifter hole until it runs out and reinstall the plug.
