Question about an oil burning furnace?

Ok, i have an oil burning furnace and just curious what type of things i should get for it??? Like, do I need an oil filter for it should i get a carbon manoxide detector???

oil burning furnaces are great!!! wish i had one,a in-line filter long as you never let it run out you should be ok without one,depending on where the furnace is, you really shoulnt need a carbine monoxide detector, although it wouldnt hurt,never does,but the furnace should have safety swithces on it to prvent any harm from your family.
You should have a furnace technician come clean it once per year, they change the filter that comes in from the tank and clean out all of the old ash and inspect it. A carbon monoxide detector is never a bad idea, particularly if your furnace is old. Make sure to always check your fuel oil level and don't let it get too low because if it runs out then you will likely have a costly bill for somebody to prime and start it.
