Where is the oil filter located on a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer?

Im actually at this precise moment trying to change my oil and Im not sure where the oil filter is on this specific vehicle. Anyone?! Help!Where is the oil filter located on a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer?
Have you taken the screw out of the oil pan?

1. If you have taken the screw out of the oil pan and have drained the oil pan. Then you should put the screw back in.

2. Now that you have drained the oil pan look either to the righ or to the left of the oil pan. You should see the oil filter. The bottom of it is round on the side of it says Oil Filter.

3. Slowly unscrew the oil filter and let it drain.

4. Replace with a new oil filter.

5. Put your new oil in.

6. Wait about 5 mins after putting the oil and and check your oil to see if it has the right amount of oil in it. If needed add more oil.

7. Crank the vehicle and let it idle for about 15 mins.

I hope this helps! Good luck!Where is the oil filter located on a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer?
