Where is the oil filter on a 1999 dodge stratus?

Am going to change the oil on my girlfriend's car. I couldn't see it looking down around the engine compartment. Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks!!

PS: I've changed the oil in all of my cars for some time. Please don't reference taking it to a garage (like someone on my last question did), as it's not worth the money. I'm just hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction to save a little search time.Where is the oil filter on a 1999 dodge stratus?
sometimes they are located under the intake or exhaust manifold and is not easily seen from the top you will have to jack the car up but recommend putting it on ramp and get a flashlight and look underneath the car then u will find it and on some cars oil filter can only be removed from under the carsWhere is the oil filter on a 1999 dodge stratus?
You've been lucky on your cars so far because you didn't need car ramps to get to the oil filter. But it may be time to consider purchasing a set of Rhino Ramps. They're super strong and yet light weight and they get the front or rear of the car way up off the ground so you can work under it easily. One proviso though. In my opinion the only safe way to work under a car is to also have a pair of safety jack stands under the frame so that no matter what, you've got something holding up the car. You also need some wheel chocks for at least one wheel. You have to take your time and get used to driving the car up on to the Rhino Ramps, but once you get the knack of it, you can do it easily and safely. Buy them at your local auto store. You can also make your own 2x8 wooden riser ramps by simply bolting two 2 foot long 2x8s together a little offset so that the tires can ramp up one end of them. That gives you a 3 inch lift which may be enough sometimes. Of course you still need the safety jack stands under the frame and the wheel chocks.
only can get to from bottom more to passenger side
