What happens when oil is pumped out of the mideast. Does seawater fill in or will the mideast sink?

My thought is that oil pumped out of the ground will get displaced by seawater or is there a big void and the mideast countries could sink. The other possibility is that oil is heavier and the water replacing that void could cause earthquakes in the region. What happens when oil is pumped out of the mideast. Oil wells are typically much deeper than groundwater, so I would not expect most wells to fill with groundwater (and the original oil would float if they were in contact).

If the oil field was in direct contact with ocean water, the oil would have flowed out and been replaced with water already.

What is likely to happen is that the ground will sink as the liquid is removed, just like most ground ';subsides'; when water is pumped out of it.What happens when oil is pumped out of the mideast. Does seawater fill in or will the mideast sink?
No. That damned slicky sticky thing gets replenished!!!
Oil Wells that have been producing for a long time water is injected to fill the void.Oil being less dense will float on the water and able to be pumped for longer periods.
Forget about oil, there are so many mines in this earth and they go miles deep into this soil and nothing has happened. Think of road linking England and France under the sea.
Neither. The rock is cemented so the oil comes out of thr pore space in the rock. It is similar to a barrel filles with gravel and water and the water id poured out
