Does anyone know what will get cooking oil (as in canola oil) stains out of pavement?

I鈥檝e noticed a few splatters on our patio blocks from the deep fryer we use outside. I鈥檝e tried TSP and nothing happened. It鈥檚 starting to look really gross. Any solutions?Does anyone know what will get cooking oil (as in canola oil) stains out of pavement?
Go to your local auto parts store and ask them for some ';dry sweep';. Its fairly cheap and a little goes a long way. Basically all you gotta do is sprinkle it on the stain, grind it in with your foot, think ';Come on Baby.... lets do the TWIST!';. Anyways grind it in, and sweep it up. The oil will get absorbed and all you gotta do is sweep it up. It works. We used to use it all the time in the Marines for cleaning up any and all oil spills from our vehicles, and it has always worked.

If you have any drywall or sheetrock readily available, crumble it up on the stains and do the same, grind it in and sweep it up.Does anyone know what will get cooking oil (as in canola oil) stains out of pavement?
I use TIDE powder clothes soap on automobile oil in the driveway. Try it, it can't hurt. Good luck
Any of the dishwashing liquid soaps (like Dawn or palmolive) that are marked grease fighting will take off some of the stain if you scrub them hard. I would also use Oil Dry or similar, which is what I think another answer says. These are granular items taht you pour over the stain, the grains absorb some of the oil and you sweep them away the next day.
it's really easy sounds stupid, but works, go buy some cheap kitty litter and our it on, leave for a couple days and sweep off, most will be gone, if not all gone, repeat the process. I did this to my side walk where a friends oil leaked oit of her car. Worked perfect.
